Mariposa is a gallery committed to presenting artists working across a broad range of media, experiences, and world views. Founded as a nomadic project in 2023, it will establish permanent spaces in New York and Los Angeles in 2026.
 

About the Presentation
Mariposa will present work by Alessandro Miotti in a solo presentation, marking Miotti's New York debut. Painted during a recent residency in London, the presented works extend Miotti’s ongoing investigation into emotion, embodiment, and psychological projection through the recurring figure of the dog. Across a suite of medium-to-large canvases, the dog operates as an archetypal surrogate—a vehicle to approach instinct, desire, attachment, and the ambiguity of human relationships.
