About the Gallery
Ibid Gallery was founded by Magnus Edensvard in London in 2004 and is currently based in Los Angeles. The gallery works with an international group of emerging and established artists, including David Adamo, Carsten Nicolai, Michael Portnoy, Maria Taniguchi, and Yanyan Huang. Additionally, Ibid works with private collections to introduce seminal works by 20th-century artists into gallery programming with the aim of offering a new perspective and context for contemporary work by gallery artists. In 2016, Gina Olivia Edensvard joined the gallery as a partner in conjunction with the opening of Ibid Gallery's new headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. The space, designed by Kulapat Yantrasat of wHY, is divided into three distinct gallery spaces: Gallery One features established gallery artists, Gallery Two showcases works of significant provenance, and Gallery Three shows emerging Los Angeles-based artists or emerging artists who have not previously exhibited in L.A.. Ibid also has a separate annex space used to host international galleries, agencies, and curators seeking an exhibition space in the city.
