About the Gallery
Gern en Regalia is an artist-run alternative art space by Mario Miron and Zoe Brezsny. Gern places an emphasis on poetic influence, experimentation, and collaboration. Gern is currently located in Lower East Side NYC and presents solo and group exhibitions by emerging and under-recognized artists. Since 2019 alone, Gern has presented the work of over 60 artists of all generations in exhibitions nationally and internationally. Gern has proudly presented NYC solo exhibitions of artists such as Jay Payton, Nina Hartmann, Sara Yukiko, Roxy Farman, Isabella Kressin, Mosie Romney, Brandon Morris, Molly Rose Lieberman, and more.

About the Presentation
For Independent, Gern en Regalia will present a two-person presentation of new works by Bay Area-based painters Tyler Ormsby (1990) and Will Yackulic (1975). Focusing on small paintings from both artists, this will be an intimate glimpse into their unique visions. Will Yackulic often depicts traffic and other organic scenes of urban life, landscapes we encounter walking about or on a commute. Tyler Ormsby threads the line between symbolic and gestural state, objects and characters reimagined through a lens of abstraction. This intergenerational pairing brings together artists who share a genuine honesty in their approach to painting and in their exploration of the environment and ourselves in the passing time.
