About the Gallery
APALAZZOGALLERY was founded in Brescia in 2008 by Francesca Migliorati and Chiara Rusconi. The gallery occupies the ground floor of the 17th-century Palazzo Cigolo Fenaroli, one of the city's oldest and most prestigious historical residences. Working with an intergenerational group of contemporary artists from around the world, APALAZZOGALLERY presents exceptional solo and group exhibitions rooted in an attentive dialogue between the gallery's historical architecture and the work of living artists, encouraging artists to engage the space in innovative and unexpected ways. The gallery inaugurated its program with a collaborative exhibition of works by Dan Colen and Nate Lowman, and has continued to introduce cutting-edge contemporary work to Brescia, hosting guest-curated group exhibitions and solo shows of international artists such as Nathalie Du Pasquier, Jonas Mekas, Chiara Fumai, John Stezaker, and Raul de Nieves.
