Independent is pleased to partner with the historic non-profit Henry Street Settlement to host a gala celebration at the opening night of the fair’s 17th edition, taking place at Pier 36, May 14th-17th, 2026. Ticket sales for the event will support Henry Street Settlement’s work enriching the lives of Lower East Side residents and other New Yorkers through social service, arts, and health care programs.
Independent 20th Century, the show featuring new perspectives on both historically celebrated and under-recognized artists, announces that it will relocate in 2026 to the historic Breuer building, a Modernist landmark and the new headquarters of Sotheby’s in New York City. The fair will take place at its new venue located at 945 Madison avenue next fall, from September 24th to 27th, 2026.
